One of the best Taquerias around, hands down. Charlie’s does it right.

If you are in the mood for Mexican food, look no further. This is the spot you should come check out. They have fantastic tacos and burritos. If you come on the weekend you might be able to get specials like menudo.

Along with exceptional food they also provide very friendly and welcoming service. A true San Mateo staple well worth checking out if you haven’t already. Keep it up Charlie’s!

This was the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The burrito was absolutely massive—the longest and girthiest thing I’ve ever seen. I cannot believe that I ate it all, it was that good. The tacos were perfect, with the meat wonderfully cooked and seasoned. The salsa bar and chips were also delicious.

Charlie's is a solid Taqueria with consistency in food quality and service.
The tacos, enchiladas, Chile relleno all good. Rice and beans very good. Chips and salsa bar is best. A basic clean dining area and a small bar with beer and wine.
Parking can be tough and if you have to park a block or 2 away, it is worth it.

Chicken quesadilla here was great! The red and green salsa also tasted pretty good.

Found this restaurant on Google and decided to try out as the reviews were good.
Loved the whole Mexican vibes of the place and the decor. The hostess/ server was attentive and friendly. Loved the complimentary chips, salsa, peppers and radish counter. The Tostada was simple and yet delicious. Between the two of us we found one dish sufficient along with the complimentary chips and salsa.
A great place to try out good Mexican cuisine.
Reasonable and tasty with quick service.
